Narrative Designer, Game Writer, Editor
Hello! I’m Veysel, a 27-year-old aspiring Narrative Designer based in Ankara, Türkiye. With years of experience as an editor in a publishing house, I am now transitioning into the gaming industry to pursue my passion for interactive storytelling.
My academic background in English Language and Literature provided a strong foundation in narrative theory, literary analysis, and the intricate mechanics of effective storytelling across various forms. I know Ink, a scripting language for creating interactive fiction, and I’m also familiar with screenwriting.
Beyond narrative, I’m a bit of a generalist. I know the fundamentals of coding. I am familiar with Blender and the 3D modeling process. I am also learning visual scripting in Unreal Engine. I have created a basic game mechanic and a level design in Unreal Engine to show that I have an eye for game and level design as well.
You can find samples of my writing and a gameplay video of my basic mechanic below.
You can find my CV here.

Game Mechanic / Level Design
This puzzle prototype, built using Unreal Engine's FPS template, showcases a core gravity-manipulation mechanic that I implemented using visual scripting. There are 3 different states of gravity: Moon (Low), Earth (Medium) and Jupiter (High). Each state is visually reinforced by environmental lighting. Pressure plates only activates in high gravity, but the down side is you cannot carry cubes or jump high. In low gravity you can shoot the cubes to propel them. A gameplay video demonstrating this mechanic is available below.
